DutyCalc — US Import Duty Calculator

What We Collect

DutyCalc collects only the minimum data needed to provide duty rate calculations:

• Shop domain — to associate settings and usage with your store
• HS codes and countries of origin — from product metafields, to look up duty rates
• Usage counts — to enforce plan limits

What We Don't Collect

• No personal customer data (names, emails, addresses)
• No payment information
• No browsing or tracking data
• No cookies on your storefront

Third-Party Services

Duty rate lookups are processed through the USTariffRates.com API. Only HS codes and country of origin codes are sent — no customer or merchant personal data is transmitted.

Data Retention

Lookup results are cached for 24 hours to improve performance. Usage records are retained for billing purposes. All data is deleted when you uninstall the app.

GDPR Compliance

DutyCalc supports all mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks: customer data requests, customer data erasure, and shop data erasure. Since we don't store personal customer data, these requests are acknowledged automatically.
